Laugh To Keep Yourself From Crying
Have you ever seen someone do something that was so funny that you was unable to contain your laugh during a time when you were so sad? It seemed as though the pain was gone for good. There have been plenty of times in my life where I was going through something challenging, that's when I decided to surround myself with people that I knew could make me laugh. All I knew is that I wanted to feel better and that was the motivating force in connecting with others. However, when I would leave I would find myself alone in bed with my thoughts as I would try and go to sleep. The problems would always seem to float in my mind. It was the problems that I didn't want to face that was present in my face all day, everyday. I knew deep inside that I had to deal with it! I knew I had to work on myself. SO I STOPPED RUNNING AWAY AND LAUGHING THROUGH MY PAIN AND I PUT MYSELF FIRST AND WORKED ON ME! I started acknowledging my problems and coming up with solutions. This was never easy but because I was consistent and never gave up. I have clarity on so many levels in my life! A peace of mind, a beautiful flowing life and a genuine laugh!
Life is going to happen regardless if you sad, happy, got your life together or not. This life will not stop for you or anyone else. So you have to deal with your problems or your problems will deal with you. Stop ignoring it. The following questions are some reflective questions that could help you figure it out now!
So get your journal, title it "TODAY IS THE DAY I WORK ON ME"copy the following questions answer it!
- What problems do you have now in your life? Make a list of all the shit that you are going through, be extremely honest.
- Which problems have you been avoiding? And why?
- What are some solutions that you can think of now in this moment to your problems? Make a list of the solutions that you can indeed implement. What will be the best positive outcome that you want for yourself?
These are somethings that I did that worked for me in the beginning of my journey. Of course there is so much more to add to this. However the overall objective is to become the best version of yourself that you could be. Instead of laughing to cover up your pain, or problems. Get over and through with it!
